The Edge Class ships are just the latest vessels at the line to break ground when it comes to innovation.
The line's somewhat older Solstice Class ships also offer a number of features that were groundbreaking in their time - in many cases- remain rare and alluring more than a decade after they first debuted.
Carrying about 2,000 to 3,000 passengers apiece, Celebrity's 12 main vessels are large but not giant by today's standards. At about 91,000 to 141,000 tons, they're nowhere as big as the giant ships operated by Royal Caribbean, MSC Cruises and Norwegian Cruise Line.
